Welcome to Ritual: Breathe & Reflect. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information. We believe your reflections are personal and private.
TL;DR: We don't collect, store, or share your reflections. Everything stays in your private encrypted database.
2. Information We Collect
We do not collect any personal information. Ritual is designed so that your data stays under your control.
The App does not:
- Collect names, emails, or phone numbers
- Track your GPS location or movement data
- Use third-party analytics (like Google Analytics or Firebase)
- Require account creation or login
3. Data Storage & iCloud Sync
Your reflections (Sighs and Joys) are stored in a private database locally on your device. Ritual uses Apple iCloud (via SwiftData/CloudKit) to securely sync your data between your own devices.
This data is stored within your personal iCloud container, which is end-to-end encrypted and managed by Apple. We (the developer) have no access to this container or the data within it.
4. Third-Party Services
Ritual does not use any third-party advertising networks or tracking technologies. The only third-party service involved is Apple’s iCloud for the sole purpose of secure data synchronization.
5. Data Security
The security of your data depends on your device's security and your Apple ID protection. We recommend:
- Using FaceID, TouchID, or a strong Passcode on your device
- Enabling Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) for your Apple ID
- Keeping your iOS version up to date to receive security patches
6. Your Rights
Since we don't hold your data on our own servers, you have full control:
- Delete data: You can delete specific entries within the app or uninstall the app to remove local data.
- iCloud Control: You can disable iCloud sync for Ritual at any time in your iOS System Settings > Apple ID > iCloud.
7. Children's Privacy
Ritual does not knowingly collect information from children. Since we don't collect any data at all, the App is suitable for users of all ages to engage in self-reflection.
